The bookshop has closed!

The activities are now transformed into the new space kbhkunsthal / cphkunsthal, which will open 21. october 2005. kbhkunsthal / cphkunsthal is located on Vesterbrogade 6C (infront of Steno Phamacy, across from the main trainstation and Tivoli), Copenhagen. The exhibitions will run apprx. 4 weeks and the space is open 24-hours everyday. The Appendiks archieve is still available by appointment.

Tuesday, 12 August 2003 we opened APPENDIKS.

APPENDIKS is a space for art, visual culture, theory, and publications.

In the middle of Copenhagen, the premises comprising a reading room, a bookstore, and an office will allow visitors to use a range of publications and films/audio materials. Through the exchange of ideas and presentation of materials created by selected guests from Denmark and abroad, we invite new input and additions to the content and changing organisation of the space. We will hold afternoon events addressing various types of culture-generating practices, materials relating to printed matter, and recording/archival processes. With APPENDIKS we wish to establish a process-oriented archive that is based on periodic and idiosyncratic principles of organisation. The premises will be open saturdays only and by appointment. Here, you can also find information about the presentations and meetings held at APPENDIKS. APPENDIKS was originally opened by Jacob Fabricius (curator), Elsebeth Jørgensen (artist), Pia Rönicke (artist) and then later Lotte Boesen (curator). Since fall 2004 the program is organised by Jacob Fabricius.
